and enables employers to communicate and evaluate their benefit programs.

Director of User Experience & Design - 4/12 - 3/15
As the second full time UX hire at a budding helth care startup I was tasked not only with helping to define the UX of a new enterprise product in a new space but also to build a UX practice, team, and culture within a rapidly growing and evolving company. I grew the UX team from 2 - 7 and developed strong relationships with contractors and agencies to help fill gaps when needed. I worked with my team to define and manage a design process from discovery, design, testing and iteration to formal design briefs, design reviews, and all manner of user research. In addition I led a number of product design initiatives across the spectrum of the Castlight product platform.

SurveyMonkey (zoomerang.com)

The world's leading provider of web-based survey solutions, trusted by millions of companies,
organizations and individuals alike to gather the insights they need to make more informed decisions.

User Experience Designer Lead - 1/11 - 1/12 (zoomerang.com)
In 2011 I had the opportunity to work with the small team at zoomerang.com to significantly advance the way that people conducted surveys online. Zoomerang was a long time leader in the onluine survey space but had not invested heavily in ongoing UX. At some point in 2010 they saw their largest competitor SurveyMonkey begin to take marketshare and decided to make the UX investment it had neglected. In this role I led a complete redesign of of the zoomerang experience that ultimately led to Zoomerang's aquisition by SurveyMonkey in late 2011

After three years focused on the mix of simple photo sharing and gift e-commerce at Kodak and after Facebook began to emerge as the new personal photo snapshot destination I was eager to delve deeper into a more advanced photography focused social world. I started at Flickr at a time when even social networks where saying how can we be more social and was tasked with redesigning Flickr's ever so complicated permissins and sharing model to allow for more social activity.
